Chamber Players Conductor
From 1987 to 2003, Alfreda held the position of Conductor of the Mississauga Chamber Players and in 2003, joined the artistic staff of the Mississauga Youth Orchestra, where she conducted the Chamber Players. A frequent adjudicator and clinician, Alfreda also serves on the Board of the Kiwanis Music Festival of Greater Toronto, the Coalition for Music Education in Canada and the Alliance of Ontario Music Educators

In 2005, Alfreda Harrison retired as the Coordinator of Music for the Toronto District School Board. Her responsibilities included the development and implementation of music programs for over 550 elementary and secondary schools, as well as the management of a staff of 120 professional musicians who instruct in these schools. She has taught school as a music specialist for over thirty years, at both the elementary and secondary levels, as well as privately teaching piano, violin and viola.
