Concert Strings Conductor

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Pamela began her musical studies at the age of five on the piano and the violin followed shortly thereafter.  She obtained her ARCT in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory and holds degrees in Music and Education from the University of Toronto.  Pamela has adjudicated at the Hamilton Music Festival, has performed with many chamber music ensembles and is currently a member of the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, with which she has played for close to 25 years.

In June of 2005 Pamela retired from the Toronto Board of Education, where she taught for 26 years.  Her career began teaching strings in the senior public schools and in 1989 was hired to direct Etobicoke Collegiate's string music program.  ECI was renowned for their music program and it flourished under her direction.

Presently Pamela teaches piano and violin privately at home and frequently accompanies choral and instrumental groups.  She also provides music clinics and performs in a string ensemble.  She directed the MYO Concert Strings since September 2001.
