The Halton Youth Symphony and the Mississauga Youth Orchestra are pleased to announce that they will be completing a merger of their two organizations in the next few months, with the new entity to be known as the Halton Mississauga Youth Orchestra, or HMYO.
Full operation of the new group will begin in September.
This merger will bring many benefits, including increased membership and growth opportunities, cost savings, and most importantly, the musical benefits that arise from being able to assemble fully-constituted playing ensembles.
Auditions for the 2013-14 season will be held at the end of May.
The time between now and September will include finalizing the many details involved and we will be updating you soon with much more complete information.
